​I am reflecting on the concept of the modern man and what it truly means to be a man, particularly the role of “a macho” in this time of man crisis, which may not be very different from other times.

I'm creating a series of videos, images and sculptures with found objects that aim to explore and represent my own idea and narratives of this model of manhood (Me as sis man, Latin and ex-catholic living in a very progressive county “The Netherlands”) .
As an artist I enjoy exploring the contemporary narrative of the sophisticated, successful, and reliable man. This modern man is easily identifiable by his aesthetic elegance and his fashionable clothes; a kind of new skin.

I am intrigued by the irony of these adult fantasies, which are, in a way, modern economic fairy tales centered on success, power, wealth, and happiness. The purpose of life often seems like a spiral of conquering these stages.
